Pension Analysis Services on Offer
As Grumpus Maximus LTD, I now offer pension analysis services. USD 50 per hour is my going rate. Contracting my services will get you analysis performed at levels similar to the various articles on my website. I typically analyze scenarios, but I can tailor the analysis to your individual needs. For example, in the past, I’ve analyzed pension buyback offers, lump-sum offers, pension rollover scenarios, gap number scenarios, and pension fund safety questions.
That said, if you hire my services, you need not worry about me turning your scenario into an anonymous article. I created the above-listed articles as a result of my previous “pro bono” work, which I no longer do. All work will remain confidential unless you direct otherwise.
Output
Product output could be as simple as an email or as formal as a PDF with visuals; that’s up to you. The more formal the output, the higher the cost, since typically it takes longer. Once I’ve completed and you’ve digested the analysis, I can also add an hour or two of paid time for a video call. That way, we could talk through the results together, and you could ask me questions.
Payment
I will invoice you once the work is complete and you are satisfied. After which, you can pay me via electronic payment to my company’s TransferWise (Wise) account. Alternatively, we could use my “Buy Me a Coffee” page, the same one I have linked on this web page. The challenge of transferring money internationally (I live in New Zealand) means we may need to stay flexible.
Caveats and Disclosures
The standard caveats that apply to my work on this blog site also apply to my pension analysis services. I’m not a certified financial advisor or accountant, so you’re paying for analysis of your pension information, not financial advice. I have years of practical experience in helping people analyze their pension situations as a result of running this website. I have also written a book and master’s thesis on pensions. While I bring my experience to bear when conducting analysis, the results don’t come with instructions on what you should do.
I strive to make my analysis as accurate as possible. Still, it’s dependent on the quality of information provided and the assumptions used in the analysis. I create those assumptions based on your answers to a list of questions I send to you, depending on the particular situation you want analyzed.
As a warning, not all of your questions may have definitive answers since we are dealing with retirement as a future scenario, which courts unknowns. For example, one question I would typically need answered prior to analysis is, “How long do you expect to live?”
Contact Methods
If my pension analysis services interest you, let me know what type of scenario or questions you are looking for me to answer so I can further refine my offer. You can email me at grumpusmaximus@grumpusmaximus.com. Alternatively, you can private message (PM) me on X (formerly Twitter — @maximusgrumpus) or Instagram (grumpusmaximustoo). We can switch the conversation to a more secure method afterward.
